Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office searching for endangered man last seen on Hilton Head Island
BEAUFORT COUNTY, S.C. (WTOC) - The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help locating missing and endangered William C. Rathert, 56, of Beaufort.
Mr. Rathert was reported missing by family Wednesday, September 3, 2025, after last being seen around 10:15 a.m. leaving his family’s home on Woodhaven Drive on Hilton Head Island.
There is concern for his safety and wellbeing.
Mr. Rathert is described as 6’0 tall, weighing about 255 pounds, and was last seen wearing blue swimsuit trunks, a beige shirt and blue colored shoes.
Anyone who has information as to Mr. Rathert’s whereabouts is asked to call the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office non-emergency dispatch line at 843-524-2777.
