All lanes of I-16 EB closed due to crash
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - [UPDATE 12:15 p.m. 8/1/2025] The Georgia Department of Transportation has updated their estimated end times for the I-16 road closure.
Now, eastbound lanes of I-16 are expected to be cleared around 1:00 p.m.
This closure stems from a crash earlier today on I-16 Eastbound past Old River Road.

[ORIGINAL STORY] A crash on I-16 Eastbound past Old River Road has all lanes of I-16 closed.
The anticipated end time of this closure is noon on August 1, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation.
Drivers are advised to avoid the area and find an alternate route in the meantime.
