What party leaders said
SCGOP Chairman Drew McKissick said the debate will give Republican voters a chance to compare candidates on the issues and see how they communicate their ideas.
“As Republicans consider who should represent us on the ballot and represent South Carolina in the U.S. Senate for the next six years, it’s critical that they have an opportunity to compare the candidates on the issues and how they communicate their ideas to the public,” McKissick said in a statement.
McKissick added that Gray Media’s broadcast reach in the state will help bring the debate to Republicans across South Carolina.
