With 300,000 of those affected right here in Georgia and South Carolina, chances are, you know someone impacted by Alzheimer’s.
Saturday, a walk in Bluffton to end Alzheimer’s. With a goal of raising $110,00 during this walk, we’re happy to say that goal was surpassed, with a total raised of over $140,000. There were around 480 walkers Saturday, and the weather was just perfect for it.
WTOC’s very own Tyler Manion emceed for the 3rd year in a row. It’s a cause very near and dear to his heart.
Each attendee was able to hold a flower with a color representing if they cared for someone with Alzheimer’s, if they were just there to support the cause, if they have lost someone to this disease, or if they are currently living with Alzheimer’s.
The goal is to one day carry a white flower, representing that you beat Alzheimer’s.
