2 Mexican foreign nationals charged with gun possession, forgery
JASPER COUNTY, SC (WTOC) - Luis Manuel Chavez Severiano (48) and Maria Teresa Fajardo Noriega (46) have both been charged with Forgery, per a press release from the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED).
Severiano has also been charged with Possession of a Firearm by an Unlawful Alien, according to SLED. Both Severiano and Noriega reside in Ridgeland, South Carolina.
Arrest reports for Severiano state that “the back of the Permanent Resident Card expiring 11/2020 was removed to replace the older photograph” and “a passport sized individual photo” was also obtained which was “consistent with creating forged identifications.”
Additionally, a “black and white in color .45 Taurus pistol model PT 1911″ was reportedly seized.
Noriega’s arrest report indicates that “two Social Security cards bearing her name and another person’s name” were also obtained at the residence.
According to the report, Noriega was also in possession of a forged US Permanent Resident card.
Severiano and Noriega were booked into the Jasper County Detention Center and the case will be prosecuted by the 14th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
