19-year-old killed while walking home from barbershop, police say
ALBANY, Ga. (WALB/Gray News) - A 19-year-old man in Georgia was shot and killed while walking home from the barbershop.
According to reports, Jamarion King was walking home from a barbershop when he was shot.
WALB found that the barbershop is just a one-minute walk away from the street where King was shot.

On Wednesday, Albany Police identified 20-year-old Kayveon Lyles and 17-year-old Jaquan McIntyre as suspects in the murder. During this shooting, Lyles was out on parole and McIntyre was out on bond for previous crimes.
District Attorney Greg Edwards explained how the bond was granted and what the state could recommend in this case.
“With the person on parole, with this situation, the state’s recommendation if he’s in custody again is going to be no bond or any other conditions,” Edwards said. “With the person out on bond again, it is very likely for the DA to recommend no bond, but again, the decision is up to the judge.”
Jamarion King’s uncle, Eric King, fought back tears as he reflected on his nephew’s 19 years of life
“I used to keep Jay all day every day, and he didn’t do nothing but smile, and he was respectful,” Eric King said.
Police said that after King was killed, 52-year-old Patricia Duncan was killed on her own front porch just hours later. Authorities believe the two cases are connected.
