‘No Kings’ rallies planned across the Coastal Empire, Lowcountry Saturday
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Protestors in cities across the U.S. will be rallying against President Donald Trump Saturday at the “No Kings” Rally.
It’s the second nationwide rally since President Trump began his second term earlier this year, the first was on June 14th, coinciding with the military parade in Washington on the president’s birthday. Back in June, protesters gathered in Savannah.

WTOC was at the protest in Savannah, speaking with organizers and leaders about what they expected from the protest.
Democratic Georgia State Representative Ruwa Romman talked to us about what she expected to see from people.
“I also think we’re gonna see a lot of dissatisfaction about leadership in general across-the-board not just Republican, but unfortunately, sometimes in our own party I think we’ve lost that spirit in that fight and it’s time to bring it back and my hope is as more of us are kind of going out and talking to folks in these protests we are reminded of that," said Rep. Romman.
Protesters in Savannah gathered in Emmet Park with signs, banners, costumes and megaphones.
One of the organizers for the protest said they are out because of their love for America.
“We’re gonna march down to City Hall and be a visible reminder to this community that that we are not okay with with violating the constitution we will hold them accountable,” said Co-Founder of Coastal Georgia for Democracy, Kris Mecholsky.
