“I’m going to put you in jail where you belong”: Chatham County Sheriff responds to video showing teen being forced to strip at gunpoint
CHATHAM COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) - Chatham County Sheriff Richard Coleman is issuing a stern warning in response to a video making rounds on social media.
Coleman called the video disturbing.
He says it appears to show a young person holding another young person at gunpoint and making them strip off their clothing in the middle of the street.
At one point in the video, the victim was even hit with the gun.
The sheriff says the incident happened in Chatham County and he is looking for the person responsible.
“You will not hurt or harm any more citizens in this county,” said Coleman. “If you think this behavior is tolerated, you think you can video something like that, and make a mockery of that young man, commit felonies against that young man. Disturb our peace. Disturb our communities, you are sadly mistaken. I promise you, I’m going to find you and get you off the streets of Chatham County and put you in my jail where you belong.”
