‘Fireball’ spotted in sky early Saturday morning
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - We have received multiple reports of bright lights streaking across the sky early in the morning of Saturday, November 8, 2025.
WTOC viewers have also sent in video and images of the objects.
The American Meteor Society says it received 99 reports about the fireball, which was seen over Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.
While it may look like a meteor, officials say it is unlikely.
“This was not a fireball, but most likely the reentry of a rocket or satellite,” the American Meteor Society says.
You can always report a possible meteor or fireball via the American Meteor Society website.
