$20,000 donation to increase recycling efforts on Hilton Head Island
HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC. (WTOC) - During Friday’s Bluffton at Hilton Head Island High school football game, Coca-Cola Consolidated, RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing and other partners presented a $20,000 donation.
The funding supports recycling efforts as well as bins, education and future community events. The goal is to increase recycling efforts on Hilton Head Island and make sure materials are properly processed for reuse.
The presentation took place at the football game because students from both high schools serve as volunteers and help park vehicles and assist with ecology during the RBC Heritage tournament week.
Coca-Cola Consolidated and its partners Circular Solutions, i2 RECYCLE and the City of Hilton Head have expanded recycling efforts beyond the RBC Heritage to the entire community. Coca-Cola Consolidated says it is “commitment to environmental responsibility by collaborating” with the following to expand recycling efforts and education on Hilton Head Island:
- Bluffton High School
- Hilton Head Island High School
- RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing
- Circular Solutions
- Outside Foundation
- i2 RECYCLE
