Yurezz customer finally moves into home with help from local mobile home company

METTER, Ga. (WTOC) - After months of waiting and uncertainty, a Yurezz Mobile Home Center customer is finally in her new home, thanks to a local company that stepped in to help. Brianna Kelch purchased a manufactured home from Yurezz Mobile Home Center’s Statesboro location in May. The home was delivered, a septic system was installed and work began.
But Kelch said communication with the company suddenly stopped near the end of the month.
Yurezz later said it was pausing operations and operating on a limited scale, leaving Kelch with unfinished work and unable to move into her home.
Among the work that still needed to be completed were the installation of an HVAC unit, brick skirting and other work needed to make the home move-in ready.
Kelch eventually reached out to Tim Coleman with Metter Home Center for help.
The company completed the skirting, installed the HVAC unit and helped with other unfinished work. Metter Home Center also has been assisting other Yurezz customers who were left with unfinished homes.
Zachery Dalgard with Metter Home Center said the company spent time helping customers understand their options and what steps they needed to take next.
“The first few days, I spent a lot of time personally on the phone calling people who were lost and didn’t know what they were doing, didn’t know what was next,” Dalgard said.
Kelch said she has not heard from Yurezz since June, but she is grateful for the help she received from Metter Home Center.
“He has been a Godsend. He’s the reason we are in this house,” Kelch said of Coleman.
Kelch said she is thankful to finally be home with her family.
“We’re in our home, we have our home, we have our health, we have our family, we have family around us,” she said.
Richard Altman, who was associated with Yurezz, was arrested in July, and the company filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy.
