World Cup final watch party, free Ludacris show at Piedmont Park: What to know

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — Atlanta might be done hosting its eight matches for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, but there’s still one more big celebration to wrap up the tournament!

On Sunday, Piedmont Park will host a free watch party for the Spain vs. Argentina final, highlighted by a performance from Atlanta-based rapper Ludacris. Here’s what you should know about the event, dubbed A Celebration of Soccer and Sound.

When is A Celebration of Soccer and Sound?

The festival is on Sunday, July 19, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. The final, which will be shown on a big screen, starts at 3 p.m. Feel free to bring your own tents and blankets!

Is the festival free?

Yes!

When is Ludacris performing?

According to the event’s organizers, Ludacris will take the stage after the final match at around 6 p.m.

What else is at the festival?

Expect to see food and drink vendors, local businesses, a kids’ zone and performances from other musical artists and DJs.

How do I get to the festival?

Parking will be limited due to large crowd sizes, so your best bet is to take MARTA. The closest stations to Piedmont Park are the Midtown Station and the Arts Center Station.

Are there any road closures?

Yes. According to the Atlanta Department of Transportation, 10th Street NE will be closed from Piedmont Avenue NE to Monroe Drive NE from 8:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday.
