Wildfire in Bulloch County threatens 5 to 15 homes, Georgia Forestry Commission reports

BULLOCH COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) - [UPDATE 7/24/2026] Friday evening the Georgia Forestry Commission, said the wildfire in Bulloch County is now at 450 acres threatening five to 15 homes.

Officials said there are 10 GFC tractors on site, six enroute and an aircraft response on way. Multiple supervisors and sheriff’s office are also on site.

Fire officials are asking the public to avoid the area to help reduce traffic as crews work to protect homes and structures.

[ORIGINAL STORY] Bulloch County fire crews are on the scene of a brush fire in the Buie Driggers Road area north of Highway 80, according to the Bulloch County fire chief.

The department has five tractors on the ground and a plane in the air working to control the burn and protect structures in the area.
