Wassaw National Wildlife Refuge wildfire remains active

TYBEE ISLAND, Ga. (WTOC) - According to the Savannah Coastal Refuges Complex, Wassaw National Wildlife Refuge had an active wildfire on Sunday around the fire trail and pavilion trail.
They said it’s estimated at around 100 acres as of 5:40 p.m.
“For safety reasons, the boat dock and these trails have been closed to the public. The north and south ends of the island are still open for beach use,” they wrote.
