Wanted Effingham County woman contacts deputies, plans surrender

EFFINGHAM COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) - A woman wanted in Effingham County has contacted authorities and arranged to surrender, according to the Effingham County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office initially asked for the public’s help locating April Berry, who authorities said had a warrant for her arrest in connection with alleged marijuana trafficking in Effingham County.

In an update posted Tuesday afternoon, the sheriff’s office said Berry had contacted the agency and made arrangements to turn herself in.

Authorities have not released additional information about the allegations, when Berry is expected to surrender or the charges listed on the warrant.
