Vehicle damages multiple headstones, grave sites in Candler Co.
CANDLER COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) - The Candler County Sheriff’s Office wants to prevent any misinformation about a situation involving a local cemetery.
According to a post on their Facebook page, Candler County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to an incident on Highway 46 Saturday involving a truck that came off a trailer traveling eastbound, that left the roadway and continued into Lake Cemetery, traveling several hundred feet and damaging multiple headstones and grave sites.

Officials say the cemetery caretaker met with deputies on scene and is handling notifications to the families of the affected plots.
The Candler County Sheriff’s Office says they wanted to address the situation and help prevent the spread of misinformation.
