Tree crashes into Bluffton home during powerful storms

BLUFFTON, S.C. (WTOC) - Powerful storms swept through Beaufort County on Tuesday evening, packing high winds that knocked out power to thousands and left some local families temporarily displaced.
Significant damage was reported at a local residence after a sudden burst of high winds caused a large tree to crash into a home, causing severe damage to the second floor and a parked vehicle.

A neighboring house and a nearby truck also suffered damage from falling debris and high winds.

Fortunately, no injuries have been reported.
The American Red Cross is assisting the affected families with emergency resources and shelter.
