Tharros Place to host public meeting on human trafficking in Savannah

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Savannah-area nonprofit Tharros Place will host its fall stakeholder meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 7, featuring a survivor and advocate as the keynote speaker.

The event, which is open to the public, will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Savannah Tech’s Eckburg Auditorium.

Brandi Little, a human trafficking survivor, advocate, and music artist based in Macon, will address the meeting. Little uses her personal experiences and her music platform to raise awareness about human trafficking and help support survivors.

The meeting will also feature networking opportunities, local support vendors, and a free lunch. Organizers said the event is designed for community members who want to learn how to identify, prevent, and protect local children from trafficking.
