SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) -Young football players in Savannah will have the chance to learn from collegiate athletes while giving back to the community during the 4th Annual Camp with the Champs later this month.

The camp, hosted by Terry Simmons Jr. and several of his University of South Florida teammates, will take place Saturday, July 18, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Memorial Stadium.

Participants will receive instruction in football fundamentals while also learning about leadership, mentorship and developing a champion mindset on and off the field.

Featured USF athletes include cornerback Za’Quan Bryan, quarterback Luke Kromenhoek, defensive lineman Terry Simmons Jr. and wide receiver Kenny Odom.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Coastal Empire, helping support families with children receiving medical care.

Registration is open through July 5, although organizers say walk-up registrations will also be accepted on the day of the event.

The cost is $20 with a camp T-shirt or $15 without a T-shirt.
