Ten booked for DUI in Chatham County

CHATHAM COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) - The Chatham County Police Department issued a stern warning to motorists after ten people were arrested and booked for driving under the influence within a single 24-hour period.
According to a Facebook post shared by the department, officers on the “B Watch” night shift alone made two of those DUI arrests overnight.
The Facebook post said records confirmed that those two arrests were part of a broader spike, with ten total individuals booked into the Chatham County Detention Center for DUI charges during the last 24 hours.
“Please don’t think that you can get away with it,” Chatham County police warned in their public post.
To help prevent further arrests and keep local roadways safe, the department urged residents to plan ahead by choosing a designated driver, using rideshare services like Uber or a taxi, or choosing to stay home.
