Temple of Glory luncheon honors women making community impact

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) -Temple of Glory Community Church hosted its Phenomenal Me: Pretty in Pink luncheon Saturday, recognizing women making an impact across the Savannah community. WTOC’s Dawn Baker was among those honored.
The event was created to celebrate women in various fields. Proceeds benefited two local organizations — Shelter from the Rain and the Keepers of the Flame.
The church said the luncheon was intended to recognize people creating significant change and impact in the community, including WTOC’s very own.
“Dawn Baker has been influential in our community for a long time. And we wanted to shine a light on the people who shine a light on others,” said Brittanie Odum of Temple of Glory Community Church.
Organizers said they are already planning next year’s luncheon and expect the event to continue annually.
