ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — The woman at the center of the Atlanta abduction of two sisters is facing an additional charge in another county for reportedly faking a pregnancy, according to law enforcement.

Lakesha Brown, 42, is facing a misdemeanor obstruction charge. Officials said that charge stems from her reportedly lying about being pregnant during an investigation.

An incident report states that in 2025, law enforcement was contacted after Brown sent a baby picture to the supposed father and “it did not look alive.”

The incident report states despite Brown sending multiple pictures and videos of her appearing to be pregnant and baby clothes, she told law enforcement she was never pregnant.
