Structure fire shuts down traffic on Ribaut Road in Port Royal
BEAUFORT, S.C. (WTOC) - The City of Beaufort/Town of Port Royal Fire Department and Parris Island Fire & Emergency Services are responding to a structure fire at 1550 Ribaut Road in Port Royal, according to authorities.
Fire crews remain on scene as they work to contain the blaze. As a result of the emergency response, traffic disruptions are impacting a major roadway in the area.
Traffic traveling into Port Royal on Ribaut Road has been shut down at Lady’s Island Drive, while traffic heading into Beaufort has been reduced to one lane.
Motorists are urged to avoid the area if possible and seek alternate routes while emergency personnel continue operations.
