St. Joseph’s/Candler nurse wins Lientz Award

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - St. Joseph’s/Candler is honoring one of its own. Registered nurse Lisa Aliotta is this year’s winner of the Lientz Award.
The honor is named after James Lientz, a former Candler Hospital trustee who helped bring the hospital to its Reynolds Street location. The award recognizes employees who go above and beyond for their coworkers and patients.
In a ceremony Thursday, previous winners stepped up to congratulate Aliotta.
“It’s truly like my second family. I mean, these people have been through everything with me. I wouldn’t be the person I am without my mom and dad and Saint Joseph’s Candler,” Aliotta said.
Aliotta said her message to coworkers is simple: treat everyone — friends, family and neighbors — with care, regardless of hardships or circumstances, to help improve the lives of those around them.
