SPD makes arrest in connection to West 51st Street shooting

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - [UPDATE: 6/26/26]- We now have the mugshot of 17-year-old Michael Ingram, who was arrested and charged with aggravated assault in connection with Wednesday night’s shooting on West 51st Street.

[ORIGINAL STORY]-The Savannah Police Department makes an arrest in connection to a Wednesday night shooting in the 900 block of West 51st Street.

Police arrested 17-year-old Michael Ingram for aggravated assault.

Around 8:00 Wednesday night officers responded to shots fired in the area. And they found a man who said he was shot at on his property and he returned fire.

Officers later learned that Ingram was at Memorial Health University Medical Center injured from a gunshot wound.

Investigators say Ingram was connected to the shooting incident on West 51st Street, and he was charged with aggravated assault.
