Section of Paris Avenue in Port Royal closing for streetscape paving

PORT ROYAL, S.C. (WTOC) - A portion of Paris Avenue will temporarily close to vehicle traffic starting Sunday as crews work to complete the Paris Avenue Streetscape Project, town officials announced.
The closure will run from Sunday, Nov. 8, through Wednesday, Nov. 11, weather permitting. Road work will cover the section of Paris Avenue extending from near Parker’s to just past Coast Roast while crews carry out final asphalt paving and road milling.
Town officials emphasized that all Paris Avenue shops, restaurants, and local businesses will remain open during construction, and residents are encouraged to continue supporting them.
Officials says motorists should expect detours, allow extra travel time, and use caution when traveling near the construction zone.
Officials noted that all work is weather-dependent and subject to schedule adjustments.
