JASPER COUNTY, Sc. (WTOC) - Drivers traveling on US 321 in Jasper County should prepare for daily delays beginning Tuesday.

The South Carolina Department of Transportation will conduct flagging operations along US 321, also known as Deerfield Road, beginning Aug. 4.

Crews will work from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily through early October, weather permitting.

The work will include storm drainage improvements as part of SCDOT’s Rural Road Safety Program. The program focuses on improving safety along rural roads and reducing fatal and serious-injury crashes.

Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead, slow down and follow signs and instructions from crews in the work zone.
