SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - REACH Public Schools has named Dr. Richard D. Reynolds as executive director ahead of the school’s opening in Savannah this fall.

Reynolds brings decades of experience in educational leadership, school development and student-centered innovation.

REACH Public Schools is a free public charter high school that will serve students in grades 9 through 12. The school says it is designed for students who may benefit from a more flexible and personalized approach to education.

Most recently, Reynolds served as superintendent of Garfield Heights City Schools in Ohio. He also previously served as founding head of school at the Problem-Based Academy of Critical Thinking at John F. Kennedy High School in Cleveland.

As executive director, Reynolds will lead the school’s development and opening efforts while helping shape its culture around student success, support and accountability.

REACH Public Schools is scheduled to open in Savannah this fall.
