Savannah Police make arrests in connection to March 6 shooting

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - The Savannah Police Department made two arrests in connection to a March 6th shooting on Congress Street that injured one person.

Monday, officers served warrants to 28-year-old Jamario Clark who is in the Chatham County Jail. Then on Thursday, July 23rd, law enforcement arrested 23-year-old Taniji Hall during a felony traffic stop.

The arrests are in connection to a March 6th shooting in the 100 block of Congress Street. Savannah Police say around 2:30am officers responded to reports of a fight. When officers arrived on scene, they heard several gunshots and discovered ballistic damage to several building and an unoccupied vehicle.

A short time later, Savannah Police say a man arrived at Memorial Health University Medical Center with a gunshot wound to his arm.

Clark is charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony. Hall is charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and Reckless Conduct

The investigation remains ongoing.
