Savannah Police arrest man after armed robbery on White Bluff Road

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Savannah Police have arrested a man after an armed robbery on White Bluff Road.
Eshon Grant, 34, was taken into custody a day after the July 11 incident.
At 9:02 p.m. that night, SPD officers responded to reports of an armed robbery. As their investigation progressed, officers used cameras and Flock license plate reader technology to identify a vehicle connected to the suspect.
Detectives then issued an alert to nearby law enforcement agencies. A Chatham County deputy located the vehicle and worked with SPD to take Grant into custody.
“This arrest demonstrates the impact that strategic investments in technology, combined with strong partnerships among law enforcement agencies, can have on our ability to solve crimes and apprehend suspects more quickly,” said Savannah Police Chief Lenny B. Gunther. “Our officers used available technology to identify the suspect vehicle and rapidly share that information with surrounding agencies. I want to thank our SPD officers and detectives for their excellent police work and our partners at the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office for their quick response and collaboration.”
Grant was booked into the Chatham County Detention Center and charged with armed robbery.
The investigation remains active. Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 612-234-2020 or submit an anonymous tip through the SPD mobile app.
