Savannah PD asks for help identifying individuals in connection to aggravated assault near the 800 block of Montgomery Street

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - [UPDATE 8/19/2026 at 12:52 p.m.] The Savannah Police Department is asking the public for help identifying multiple individuals in connection to an aggravated assault that occurred on Aug. 18 near the 800 block of Montgomery Street.

Anyone with information should call CrimeStoppers at 912-234-2020 or use the SPD mobile app to remain anonymous.

[UPDATE 8/19/2026] Wednesday morning, Savannah Police told WTOC they responded to the area of West Gwinnett Street after getting a ShotSpotter alert.

Police said nobody was hit with gunfire during this incident.

[ORIGINAL STORY] Law enforcement officers were on the scene of a developing situation in Savannah on Tuesday evening.

Savannah Police were responding to an active scene near the intersection of West Gwinnett Street and Montgomery Street, near the Avni Farms Dispensary.
