Savannah maternity home ‘The Living Vine’ to celebrate 30th anniversary this September

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - A local maternity home that has supported hundreds of mothers and infants for three decades is inviting the Savannah community to help celebrate a major milestone.
The Living Vine will host its free 30th Birthday Celebration on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2026.
The event will run from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the organization’s home, located at 535 E. 54th Street in Savannah.
Since opening its doors in 1996, the nonprofit maternity home has provided pregnant women and their babies with a safe residential environment, life skills preparation, and spiritual support aimed at helping mothers build stability and work toward independence.
The upcoming free celebration is open to the public and will feature activities for all ages, sweet treats, and reflection on the organization’s three-decade impact in the Savannah community.
“This milestone is about more than celebrating 30 years,” Dawn Rodriguez, Executive Director of The Living Vine, said in a statement. “It is about celebrating the women and children who have walked through our doors, the people who have faithfully supported this ministry, and the community that has surrounded The Living Vine for three decades.”
Organizers say those who wish to honor the anniversary can also participate in the organization’s birthday giving campaign.
