Savannah announces holiday schedule changes for Juneteenth

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - The City of Savannah will close administrative offices and facilities Friday, June 19, in observance of the Juneteenth federal holiday.
Emergency services will remain operational throughout the holiday, and residents can continue submitting non-emergency requests through the SAV311 mobile app.
Several city services will be affected by the closure.
Residential garbage and yard waste collection will not take place Friday and will resume Monday, June 22. Recycling collection will continue on its normal schedule.
Street cleaning operations will also be suspended Friday and return Monday.
The Dean Forest Landfill and Bacon Park Transfer Station will be closed June 19 and reopen Saturday, June 20, during normal business hours.
City officials encourage residents to review sanitation schedules and plan accordingly ahead of the holiday.
