Ribbon cutting set for Savannah’s newest Tide to Town Trail stretch

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - The City of Savannah is inviting the public to celebrate the opening of the newest section of the Truman Linear Trail.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony for Phase 2B of the trail will be held Monday, July 6, from 11 a.m. to noon at 1720 E. 58th St.
City leaders, including Mayor Van R. Johnson II, City Manager Jay Melder and District 3 Alderwoman Linda Wilder Bryan, are expected to attend alongside project partners.
The Truman Linear Trail is part of the Tide to Town Urban Trail System, a multi-year initiative that will create 30 miles of walking and biking trails connecting neighborhoods, parks and other destinations throughout Savannah.
The public is encouraged to attend the ceremony and celebrate the continued expansion of the city’s growing trail network.
