Person found dead at Metter hotel

METTER, Ga. (WTOC) - A person has been found dead at a hotel in Metter.

The Metter Police Department said officers went to the Baymont Hotel in reference to an out of town person found dead at the hotel.

"Our Officers responded and soon turned the scene over to our Investigations Division," wrote the police department in a social media post.

Metter Police said their investigations division is working with the GBI Crime Lab for this case.
