Parker’s Kitchen honored after record $375K donation to help veterans

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Wounded Warrior Project has named Parker’s Kitchen its Corporate Partner of the Year in recognition of the company’s continued support of veterans in Georgia and South Carolina.

Wounded Warrior Project CEO Walt Piatt presented the organization’s top national impact award to Parker’s Kitchen during an event Monday in Savannah.

Parker’s Kitchen also presented Wounded Warrior Project with a record $375,000 donation raised through its latest customer round-up campaign. The company matched 25% of customer donations and increased its match to 50% during May in recognition of National Military Appreciation Month.

Over the past three years, Parker’s Kitchen has donated more than $1 million to support veterans, their families and caregivers through Wounded Warrior Project.

“We are proud to recognize Parker’s Kitchen as Wounded Warrior Project’s Corporate Partner of the Year and grateful for their steadfast commitment to the warriors, families, and caregivers we serve,” Piatt said.

Parker’s Kitchen began partnering with Wounded Warrior Project in 2024 to support post-9/11 veterans, reflecting what founder Greg Parker called the company’s commitment to helping those who served.

Wounded Warrior Project provides veterans and their families with programs focused on mental health, financial wellness, physical health and recovery, long-term rehabilitative care and connections with fellow veterans. All programs are provided at no cost to participating veterans and families.

Founded in 1976 and headquartered in Savannah, Parker’s Kitchen operates convenience stores across Georgia and South Carolina.

The company is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2026.
