SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Park Place Outreach is inviting the community to kick off the new school year while supporting local youth during its annual Throwback Band Party fundraiser.

The event will be held Friday, Aug. 7, from 6:30 to 10 p.m. at Service Brewing Co., 574 Indian St. in Savannah.

Guests can enjoy live music from Savannah favorite A Nickel Bag of Funk, along with beer, dancing and an evening of community fellowship. Organizers say proceeds from the event will benefit Park Place Outreach’s programs for runaway, homeless and at-risk youth throughout the Savannah area.

Funds raised help provide emergency shelter, meals, counseling, educational support, crisis intervention, transitional living assistance and other services for young people facing difficult circumstances.

Tickets are $65 per person and include one beer. The event is open to guests 21 and older.

Park Place Outreach has served youth in Coastal Georgia since 1984 and offers a range of residential and community-based programs designed to help stabilize young people and reunify families whenever possible.
