STATESBORO, Ga. (WTOC) - The owner of a local mobile home dealership facing a lawsuit over an inventory financing dispute has been arrested.

Richard Altman, owner of Yurezz Home Center, was arrested the morning of July 8 and is on an out-of-state hold.

It is unclear if the arrest has anything to do with the lawsuit or ongoing customer complains. WTOC previously reported a complaint was filed against Altman by 21st Mortgage Corporation. The case is an inventory financing dispute involving manufactured homes the lender said it financed for the Altmans’ retail operations.

21st Mortgage alleges Altman and his wife moved a home from business inventory to their own property in Appling County without paying the lender for it as required. The lender is asking a judge to order the home returned or require the Altmans to pay for it.

The lawsuit comes as some customers across South Georgia took to social media to raise concerns about unfinished work, communication problems and fears they may not be refunded or compensated.

Altman was booked into the Appling County jail on Wednesday.
