Ossoff makes Coastal Empire stop ahead of midterms

by WTOC Staff

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Georgia U.S. Sen. Jon Ossoff made one of his final Coastal Empire stops before the midterms Thursday.

Supporters packed ILA Local 1414 in the morning to hear him speak. He also stayed to meet voters and take pictures.

Afterward, dozens canvassed door-to-door in Savannah neighborhoods, urging people to vote and sharing Ossoff’s stance on data centers.

“No Georgia community should have one of these data centers imposed upon them against their will, or in secret. That’s why I’ve launched an investigation of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and demand the Trump administration explain how it will hold these big tech companies accountable to those commitments,” said Ossoff, a Democrat.

Ossoff is challenged by Trump-backed Republican Mike Collins, who is currently serving Georgia’s 10th District in the U.S. House of Representatives.
