The affidavit alleged that Kennedy arrived at the South Carolina State University campus on Feb. 12 with three people in his vehicle. They were seen on surveillance footage entering and leaving Hugine Suites together before returning to Hugine Suites. A shooting occurred inside shortly later, killing 18-year-old Terrell Thomas and 19-year-old Henry L. Crittington.
Investigators learned that Kennedy participated in buying a green leafy substance, which led to an attempted armed robbery and the shooting. A witness also stated that Kennedy had a gun and participated in the shooting; she was seen on video fleeing the scene on foot moments after the shooting.
Kennedy is being held at the Orangeburg County Detention Center.
