Man arrested after making threats against local labor union, Chatham County sheriff says

CHATHAM COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) - Chatham County Sheriff Richard Coleman announced the arrest of a man accused of making threats against a local labor union, according to a social media post shared late Sunday night.

Coleman posted the video around 11:55 p.m. in reference to an alleged threat of violence against International Longshoremen’s Association (ILA) Local 1414.

“The threat is over. That individual has been arrested. Mr. Brown has been arrested, and he is in jail where he is supposed to be,” Coleman said.

In his video, Coleman referenced the suspect making a video saying he was going somewhere Tuesday or Thursday, and that he had shot up the union hall two or three times already.

Coleman expressed his thanks to ILA Local 1414 President Paul Mosley for his help in reporting the suspect.

Chatham County booking records show a man named Antwan Brown was arrested Sept. 6 and charged with terroristic threats and acts.
