Leopold’s Ice Cream celebrates 107 years

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Broughton Street was bustling with energy Saturday as locals and visitors gathered to celebrate 107 years of Leopold’s Ice Cream.

“Today we’re celebrating 107 years of Leopold’s ice cream. We do this every year. It’s our way of saying thank you to all our guests for the support of the year. We have the fabulous Equinox Orchestra that will be performing, ice cream is out there being scooped,” said Stratton Leopold, Owner of Leopold’s Ice Cream.

“We have games for the kids, we have face painting, we have Magic Mark here with all of his animals, we have Eric Zimmerman for puppy dogs, he’s got a whole puppy station down there. We’re just so excited to be able to have a party here. It’s just wonderful and it’s really heart-warming and humbling to have so many people show up because it’s hot today, and it’s warm but still everyone’s having a good time,” said Leopold.
