Lane closures on I-16, I-516, I-95 to impact travel this weekend

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - The Georgia Department of Transportation said drivers should expect lane closure on I-16, I-95, and I-516 this weekend into next week needed for widening, bridge work, and interchange work.

Daytime lane closures (intermittent)

Sunday, July 12 through Saturday, July 18

8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Intermittent right- and left-lane closures on I-16 westbound from the I-16/I-516 Interchange (MP 164) to the I-16/I-95 Interchange (MP 157).
9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Intermittent right- and left-lane closures on I-16 eastbound from the I-16/I-95 Interchange (MP 157) to the I-16/I-516 Interchange (MP 164).
8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Intermittent right- and left-lane closures on I-516 at the I-16 Interchange, both directions:
- - I-516 westbound from MP 5 to MP 6
  - I-516 eastbound from MP 6 to MP 5

Nighttime lane closures

Sunday, July 12 through Saturday, July 18

7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
- Intermittent right- and left-lane closures on I-16 westbound and eastbound between the I-16/I-516 Interchange (MP 164) and the I-16/I-95 Interchange (MP 157).
9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
- Double-lane closures on I-95 at the I-16 overpass:
- - I-95 northbound from MP 98 to MP 100
  - I-95 southbound from MP 101 to MP 98
7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
- Intermittent right- and left-lane closures on I-516 at the I-16 Interchange, both directions (MP 5–6).
