Jenkins High School briefly placed on lockdown Friday, SCCPSS says no threat found
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Jenkins High School was briefly placed on lockdown Friday, according to Savannah-Chatham County School District officials.
WTOC reached out to campus police who told us the school was placed on a lockdown when an alarm went off. The school was searched and officials tell us no threat was found. School officials confirmed there is no active shooter.
SCCPSS says they are looking into which system set the alarm off and how it was activated, stick with us as we learn more.
