ICE conducts immigration enforcement operation in Beaufort County

BEAUFORT COUNTY, S.C. (WTOC) - Friday, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office said they assisted ICE in a coordinated immigration enforcement operation conducted under the Federal 287(g) Program.

Operation focuses on locating individuals previously ordered removed from the US

According to law enforcement, Friday’s operation focused on locating and apprehending individuals who had previously been ordered removed from the United States and failed to comply with removal orders.

The sheriff’s office said the operation was conducted in cooperation with ICE, Enforcement and Removal Operations and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division.

The sheriff’s office said they helped federal authorities by providing operational support, officer safety coordination, and logistical assistance during the operation.
