Help shape Statesboro’s future: Apply for the Tree Board

STATESBORO, Ga. (WTOC) - The City of Statesboro is accepting applications for an appointment to its Tree Board.
The selected applicant will serve a three-year term. Applications must be submitted by 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 28.
Completed applications may be emailed to City Clerk Leah Harden at leah.harden@statesboroga.gov or delivered to Statesboro City Hall at 50 E. Main St.
Established in 1991, the Statesboro Tree Board consists of nine members appointed by the mayor and City Council. Members serve staggered three-year terms.
The board hears requests for variances and special-use permits related to the enforcement of the city’s Tree Ordinance. Meetings are held at 10 a.m. on the second Tuesday of each month in the City Hall council chambers.
