Hampton County deputies respond to shooting near Varnville
VARNVILLE, S.C. (WTOC) -Hampton County Sheriff’s Office deputies are responding to reports of a shooting in the Varnville area, the agency said Sunday.
Officials said an individual suffered a gunshot wound near Wilson Road. The sheriff’s office described the incident as active and developing.
Authorities are asking residents to avoid the area and use alternate routes to allow emergency personnel to respond.
The sheriff’s office said additional information will be released as it becomes available.
