ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — In one of the final major surveys released before voters head to their precincts, Georgia’s marquee race for governor sits in a dead heat, while incumbent Democratic U.S. Sen. Jon Ossoff has built a late lead in his reelection bid.

The InsiderAdvantage poll, released late Monday afternoon, surveyed 2,500 likely Georgia voters between Oct. 31 and Nov. 2. The poll carries a margin of error of just under 2 percentage points.

Dead heat for Georgia governor

The race to succeed Gov. Brian Kemp could hardly be tighter. Republican nominee Rick Jackson and Democratic nominee Keisha Lance Bottoms are knotted at 49% each, leaving the contest for the state’s highest office within the poll’s margin of error.

Just 2% of surveyed voters remain undecided heading into Tuesday’s vote.

Ossoff leads Collins in U.S. Senate clash

In the battle for the U.S. Senate, Ossoff has opened a seven-point advantage over his Republican challenger, U.S. Rep. Mike Collins.

The survey shows Ossoff drawing 53% support compared to 46% for Collins, with only 1% of voters undecided. The margin suggests Ossoff enters Election Day in a position to potentially clear the 50% majority threshold required under Georgia law to avoid a post-November general election runoff.

Polling locations across all 159 Georgia counties open Tuesday at 7 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. Anyone in line by 7 p.m. is legally permitted to vote.
