Free Savannah workshop to help business owners improve cash flow and profits

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - The University of Georgia Small Business Development Center in Savannah will host a free financial workshop for local business owners.

“Financial Fundamentals for Business Owners” will be held Tuesday, Sept. 15, from 9 a.m. to noon at the UGA SBDC in Savannah, located at 316 E. Bay Street.

The program is designed to help entrepreneurs understand their financial data and use it to make stronger tactical and long-term business decisions.

Participants will learn how to:

  • Understand financial statements
  • Improve cash flow and increase profits
  • Establish financial controls
  • Gain access to capital
  • Analyze financial data
  • Understand how banks and lenders evaluate businesses and funding requests

The workshop is free and open to the public. Early registration is encouraged because of anticipated interest.
