Free community festival in Rincon to support first-responder families, local nonprofits

by WTOC Staff

RINCON, Ga. (WTOC) - A two-day community festival coming to Effingham County next month will pair family activities with fundraising efforts for local first responders, cancer support and historic preservation.

The Magnolia Grove Festival is scheduled for Oct. 17-18 at the New Ebenezer Retreat Center in Rincon.

Admission to the festival is free, featuring live music, a farmers market, family activities, a pumpkin patch and a living history tour of the historic Ebenezer community.

Throughout the weekend, several events will benefit area causes:

  • A Hero’s Family Fun Run & 5K Challenge: Proceeds support Behind The Line, an initiative aiding spouses and children of active first responders.
  • Whispers in the Grove Living History Tour: Presented in cooperation with Jerusalem Lutheran Church and the Georgia Salzburger Society to support local historic preservation.
  • Magnolias in the Moonlight: A silent auction benefiting Keepers of the Flame and Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.

Organizers say the goal is to provide a free family gathering space that directly reinvests in local service organizations and area heritage.
